Supported sales channels

Every POS and online store Wrapped connects to, whether each one is a POS or online channel, how Wrapped gift cards work inside it, what syncs, and where to find its setup guide.

Updated September 19, 2026

A sales channel is a point of sale (POS) or online store connected to Wrapped. Wrapped connects to Shopify, six Lightspeed products, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, Square, Heartland Retail, Hike and Bopple, plus its own web store. Every connected channel shares one balance for each gift card, so a card sold in one place can be spent in any other. If your platform isn't on the list, you can still sell gift cards on the Wrapped web store and redeem them in person with the Wrapped Redeem app.

You connect channels in Settings › Sales channels (open) with Add sales channel. Only Owners and Admins can add, turn on or off, and disconnect channels. Every plan includes unlimited sales channels (see Plans and pricing).

Two ways a channel holds your gift cards

How a balance change reaches a channel depends on where that channel keeps the card.

What syncs

For every connected, enabled channel:

  • Gift cards sold in the channel are created in Wrapped once the sale is complete (for example, a paid online order or a closed register sale), then made available in your other channels. Bopple is the exception: it redeems cards but doesn't sell them.
  • Redemptions in the channel reduce the card's balance in Wrapped, and Wrapped passes the new balance to every other channel.
  • Gift cards issued in Wrapped (from the dashboard, your web store, batches, imports, automations or the API) are made available in every enabled channel.
  • Balance changes you make in Wrapped with Adjust balance are passed to every channel. To correct a balance so every channel stays in step, always adjust it in Wrapped, not in the channel itself (see Adjust a gift card's balance).

A few things apply to every channel:

  • Only sales made after you connect are processed. Older sales are never picked up.
  • Sales from a disabled channel are ignored. A new channel starts disabled, so turn it on when you're ready (see Sales channel status).
  • Gift cards that already existed in a channel before you connected aren't imported automatically. See Import existing gift cards from a CSV file, or the channel's setup guide for other options.
  • Timing. Sales usually reach Wrapped within a few minutes. The gift card's own timeline shows each change as soon as it's processed. Reports catch up within about 2 hours.

Connect a channel

    1. Go to Settings › Sales channels.
    2. Select Add sales channel.
    3. Search for your platform in Search platforms, then select it.
    4. Follow the prompts for your platform. Most send you to the platform to sign in and approve access. Shopify and WooCommerce ask for your store address first, Lightspeed eCom C-Series asks for API details, and Bopple shows an API key to paste into Bopple.
    5. Back on Sales channels, turn on the switch next to the new channel.

When the platform sends you to sign in and approve access, finish in the same browser, still signed in to the same Wrapped account, within 30 minutes. Otherwise you come back to Sales channels with "We couldn't finish connecting that sales channel. Start again from Add sales channel." This check stops anyone adding their own store to your account.

Then follow the platform's setup guide in the table above. Some channels also show a Setup checklist on their row (Shopify, WooCommerce, Lightspeed K-Series and the R-Series web extension).

Common questions

How many sales channels can I connect?

As many as you need, on every plan. If you have several stores on the same platform (for example two Shopify stores), connect each one as its own sales channel.

My POS or online store isn't listed. What can I do?

Sell gift cards online with the Wrapped web store, and redeem them in person with the Wrapped Redeem app. Staff record the redeemed amount in your till as they would any other discount or tender.

Does connecting a channel use my gift card allowance?

Connecting doesn't. Gift cards count toward your monthly allowance when they're created, wherever they're sold. The same card existing in several channels counts once. See How the monthly gift card allowance works.

I see "We couldn't finish connecting that sales channel"

The approval step wasn't finished in the browser that started it, while signed in to the same Wrapped account, within 30 minutes. For example, you switched to another Wrapped account in a different tab, signed out, or approved the install on another device. Go to Settings › Sales channels and start again with Add sales channel.

Can two Wrapped accounts share one store?

Some platforms can be connected to more than one Wrapped account, for example when you run separate gift card programs. Talk to the Wrapped team before you set this up. See Running several venues, brands or gift card programs.

Can I test with a development or trial store?

Yes. When you go live, keep the same Wrapped account, disconnect the test store and connect your live store. See Disconnect or replace a sales channel.
