Connect Hike POS

How to connect Hike POS to Wrapped, what Hike needs to be set up with, how Hike gift card sales, top-ups and redemptions sync with Wrapped, what doesn't sync, and how to test the connection.

Updated September 19, 2026

Connecting Hike takes a few minutes: you sign in to Hike from Wrapped, allow access and turn the sales channel on. Wrapped works with Hike's own gift cards, so staff keep selling and redeeming gift cards in Hike as they do today. A card sold in Hike can be spent in your other channels, and a Wrapped gift card can be spent in Hike.

Before you start

  • You need to be an Owner or Admin in Wrapped.
  • Set up gift cards in Hike, and keep Hike's standard names: the gift card item called Gift card and the payment type called Gift card. Wrapped recognises gift card sales and payments by these names, so renaming them stops sales syncing.
  • Sign in to Hike as a user who can approve apps for your store.

Connect Hike

    1. In Wrapped, go to Settings › Sales channels (open) and select Add sales channel.
    2. Choose Hike.
    3. Sign in to Hike and allow Wrapped access.
    4. You're returned to Sales channels with the message "Hike connected."
    5. Turn on the switch next to your Hike channel. It starts Disabled.

When you connect, Wrapped adds webhooks to Hike so it's told each time an invoice is created or updated. One connection covers your Hike store and all its outlets, and Wrapped records which outlet and staff member each gift card sale came from.

Only paid sales made after you connected are processed. Sales usually reach Wrapped within a few minutes.

What doesn't sync

  • Voided sales and returns. Voiding a Hike sale or returning a gift card purchase doesn't change the card in Wrapped. Void or adjust the card in Wrapped (see Void or delete a gift card).
  • Balance changes made directly in Hike. Adjust balances in Wrapped so every channel stays in step (see Adjust a gift card's balance).
  • Gift cards already in Hike before you connected. They aren't imported automatically. See Import existing gift cards from a CSV file, or contact the Wrapped team.

Test the connection

    1. In Wrapped, go to Gift cards › All gift cards, select Issue gift card, and issue a small gift card. Copy the code.
    2. Wait a minute, then find the gift card in Hike. It should show the balance you issued.
    3. Delete the test card in Wrapped ( menu › Delete gift card). Wrapped sets its balance to $0 in Hike.

To test sales, sell a low-value gift card in Hike, check it appears in Gift cards › All gift cards within a few minutes, then delete it the same way.

If a card isn't created in Hike, open it in Wrapped and look for a sync error (see Fixing gift card sync errors).

Common questions

Is there a Settings or Test connection option for Hike?

No. Use Check orders on the Hike channel to see what Wrapped did with recent sales (see Sales channel status).

The connection stopped working. How do I reconnect?

Repeat the connection steps with the same Hike store. Wrapped refreshes the existing channel, turns it on and reinstalls the webhooks.

Do I need a separate channel for each outlet?

No. One connection covers every outlet in your Hike store.
