Bopple connects to Wrapped with an API key: you copy the key from Wrapped and paste it into Bopple Back Office. Customers can then enter a Wrapped gift card code at checkout in your Bopple online store or app, Bopple checks the balance in Wrapped, and the amount used comes off the card straight away. The integration is for redeeming gift cards. It doesn't sell them.
How it works
- Redeeming. At Bopple checkout the customer enters their gift card code. Bopple checks the balance in Wrapped and applies what's available to the order.
- Balance. The redemption is recorded in Wrapped immediately and the new balance is passed to your other connected channels.
- Refunds. If a Bopple order is refunded, Bopple puts the amount back on the gift card in Wrapped.
- Selling. Customers can't buy Wrapped gift cards through Bopple. Sell them on your Wrapped web store or at your POS.
- Nothing is copied into Bopple. Bopple reads balances from Wrapped when a card is used, so there are no Bopple sync errors to watch for.
Step 1: Get your API key from Wrapped
- In Wrapped, go to Settings › Sales channels (open) and select Add sales channel.
- Choose Bopple.
- In the Bopple API key window, select the copy button next to API key, then select Done.
- Turn on the switch next to your Bopple channel. It starts Disabled.
To see the key again later, select View API key on the Bopple channel.
Step 2: Paste the key into Bopple
- Sign in to Bopple Back Office and go to Store settings › Integrations.
- Select Connect next to Wrapped.
- Paste the API key from Wrapped into the field and select Next.
- Check that the Integrations page shows Wrapped as connected.
If you don't see Wrapped in Bopple's integrations, contact Bopple support.
Test it
- In Wrapped, go to Gift cards › All gift cards, select Issue gift card, and issue a small gift card. Copy the code.
- In your Bopple store, add an item to the cart and enter the gift card code at checkout.
- Check the amount is applied, then complete the order.
- In Wrapped, open the gift card. Its timeline shows the adjustment made through the Wrapped API by Bopple, and the balance has gone down.
- Delete the test card (… menu › Delete gift card) and refund the test order in Bopple.
Common questions
Why doesn't turning off or disconnecting the Bopple channel stop redemptions?
Bopple uses the API key directly, so it keeps working until you disconnect Wrapped in Bopple Back Office (Store settings › Integrations). Do that if you stop using Bopple.
Does Bopple need its own gift card codes?
No. Customers use their Wrapped gift card code.
Do redemptions in Bopple count toward my gift card allowance?
