Share, link to or embed your web store

Your web store has its own address, such as https://yourbusiness.wrapped.store, which you can share anywhere or link to from your website. You can also embed the whole store on a page of your own website by pasting in the embed code from Web store › Settings. The store can't run on your own domain name, so embedding or linking is how you keep it part of your site.

Find or change your store's address

Go to Web store › Settings. The address is under Your store › Web address. (This section appears once Stripe is connected.)

To change it:

1. Click Edit next to Web address.
2. Type the part before .wrapped.store. Use letters, numbers and hyphens, and pick something that's clearly your business.
3. Click Save.

If you see "That address is taken or reserved. Try another.", another store already uses it or it's reserved. Choose a different one.

Link to your store or a product

Useful addresses (replace yourbusiness with your store's address):

A product's URL handle is in its editor under Search engine listing. Only Active products open for customers.

Common places to link from: a "Gift cards" item in your website's menu, a "Buy a gift card" button, your email signature, social media profiles, receipts, and a QR code at your counter.

Embed the store on your website

1. In Web store › Settings, next to your web address, click Embed on your website.
2. Click Copy code.
3. On your website, create or open the page you want the store on and add an HTML or embed block (the name depends on your website builder).
4. Paste the code and publish the page.

The code places your store in a frame on your page. Customers browse, check out and pay without leaving your site.

Tips:

• The frame has a fixed height. If your page shows a second scroll bar or too much empty space, adjust the height values in the code.
• To embed a single product instead of the whole store, change the address in the code (after src=) to the product's address. Adding ?embed to the end of a product address hides the store's Back link, for example https://yourbusiness.wrapped.store/gift-card/birthday?embed.
• If you change your web address later, copy the embed code again.

Help customers find it in search

Search engines, link previews and AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity can read your store, with no setup needed. Every page tells them what you sell: your products, their prices and options, and how delivery works. Your store also has a sitemap at /sitemap.xml and a plain summary for AI assistants at /llms.txt, for example https://yourbusiness.wrapped.store/llms.txt. Only active products are included. Cart, checkout and order confirmation pages stay out of search.

AI assistants that support MCP can also connect to your store at /mcp, for example https://yourbusiness.wrapped.store/mcp. There they can look up your products, then give the customer a link that opens your store with the cart already filled in. The link can include gift details such as recipient, message and send date. The customer reviews the cart and pays at your checkout as usual. The cart shows who each gift will be sent to, and a cart filled in from a link asks the customer to check the recipients before paying, so a link from someone else can't quietly send the gift card to them. Assistants can't take payment or look up gift card balances there.

When an order looks like it came through an AI assistant, Web store > Orders shows a label such as Via ChatGPT. The order also shows a Source line, for example "Cart made by ChatGPT" or "Came from Perplexity", and the orders export has a matching column. This is based on how the customer reached your store, such as a cart link from an assistant or a visit from an AI chat, so treat it as a guide rather than an exact count. An assistant that only mentions your store's name, without a link, can't be tracked.

Each product has a Search engine listing in its editor, where you set the page title, description and URL handle these use. If you leave the title or description empty, the product's name and description are used instead. See Create gift card products for your web store.

Changes to products can take up to 5 minutes to show up there, and search engines decide for themselves when to visit again.

Track visits and sales

In Web store › Settings › Conversion tracking, click Edit and enter any of:

• Google Analytics 4 measurement ID (starts with G-). Find it in Google Analytics under Admin, Data streams, your web stream.
• Meta pixel ID. Find it in Meta Events Manager under Data sources.
• TikTok pixel ID. Find it in TikTok Ads Manager under Assets, Events, Web events.

Wrapped sends a page view when someone opens your store and a purchase, with the order value, when they buy. Leave a box empty to stop sending to that platform.

Common questions

Can I use my own domain, like gifts.mybusiness.com?

No. The store's address is always on wrapped.store. To keep customers on your own domain, embed the store on a page of your website.

Is there a "Buy gift card" button I can add to my site?

There's no ready-made button. Add a button or link on your website that points to your store's address or a product's address.

My link shows "Store is not active". Why?

The store is switched off in Web store › Settings, or your Wrapped account isn't active. See Create your Wrapped web store.

My product link goes to the home page instead of the product. Why?

The product isn't Active, or its URL handle has changed. Check the product in Web store › Products.

Can customers check their balance without buying?

Yes. Link to the store's check balance page, and keep Check balance page turned on in Web store › Settings › Design so it's in the store's menu. See The check balance page.
