Everything your customers see from Wrapped can carry your brand: the gift card emails, the printable PDF, the Apple Wallet and Google Wallet pass, the check balance page and the gift to a friend page. With the new branding, you set your logo, colours and font once on Branding › Brand, and every one of those surfaces uses them. Accounts still on the classic branding style each surface separately.

The Branding menu has five pages: Brand, Emails, Wallet pass, Designs and Email settings.
The new branding
New Wrapped accounts start on the new branding. It works like this:
- One brand, set once. On Branding › Brand you add your business name, logo, square icon, email header image, default gift card image, colours, font, corner and button style, and footer details. See Set up your brand.
- Emails and PDFs take their look from the brand. On Branding › Emails you change only the words and the order of the blocks. There are no colour or font controls on an individual email, so every email matches. See Customize your gift card emails.
- Customer pages follow the brand. The check balance and gift to a friend pages use your brand's colours, font and header image, and you edit only their wording. See The check balance page and The gift to a friend page.
- Wallet passes can follow the brand. On Branding › Wallet pass, three switches (Use my brand colour, Use my brand icon, Use my email header image) make the pass match. New accounts start with all three on. See Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes.
- The web store is copied, not linked. The web store is its own site with its own settings. On Branding › Brand, Apply to web store copies your button colour, font, button corners, logo and browser icon onto it. Do it again after you change your brand.
When changes take effect
| Surface | When a brand or wording change shows |
|---|---|
| Emails | For emails sent after you save, usually within a minute. Emails already sent don't change. |
| PDFs | The next time the PDF is opened. The PDF is drawn when a customer opens the link, so older cards pick up your latest design too. |
| Check balance and gift to a friend pages | The next time the page loads. |
| Wallet passes already on phones | When the pass next updates: after a balance change, when you save on Branding › Wallet pass, or when you select Update passes on phones now. Saving the Brand page alone doesn't push an update to passes. |
| Web store | Only after you select Apply to web store again. |
The classic branding
Some older accounts still use the classic branding. You can tell because Branding › Brand isn't there (or opens a page with only colours, typography and imagery), and Branding › Emails lists emails such as Gift card issued and Gift card updated with a Preview & edit button that opens a drag-and-drop editor.
On the classic branding:
- Each email is designed separately in the drag-and-drop editor, including its colours, images and layout.
- The check balance page and gift to a friend page have their own colour and font settings.
- The wallet pass is designed on its own page with its own colours and images.
- Web store emails are edited on Web store › Emails.
If you'd like to move an account to the new branding, contact the Wrapped team. The move copies your existing look into your brand so your emails and pages keep looking like yours. See Getting help from the Wrapped team.
Articles in this section describe the new branding first. Where the classic branding works differently, there's a short note.
Common questions
Do I have to set up branding before I can sell gift cards?
No. Every account has working default emails, PDFs, passes and customer pages. Setting up your brand makes them look like your business.
Can one email use different colours from the others?
Not with the new branding. Colours, font, logo and corners come from Branding › Brand for every email and PDF. You can change the words, add or remove blocks, and reorder them on each email.
I changed my brand. Why does my web store still look the same?
The web store keeps its own settings. Go to Branding › Brand and select Apply to web store under Web store. The row says Out of date when your brand has changed since you last copied it.
I changed my brand. Why hasn't the check balance page changed?
That page probably has its own colours from the classic editor. Open it from Branding › Designs › Customer pages and select Use my brand. See The check balance page.
Does branding cost extra?
No. Branding, emails and wallet passes are included on every plan. See Which features are included on each plan.
Can I remove "Powered by Wrapped"?
On the check balance and gift to a friend pages, turn off Show Powered by Wrapped in each page's editor. In emails, hiding it is included with paid plans: ask the Wrapped team to switch it off.
